      The design of Beten Alpha reflects the book’s exploration of body, language, and gender. Red was chosen for its strong bodily associations — belly, blood, skin. Typographic disruptions and open letterforms mirror the book’s openness and refusal of fixed categories. The recurring open circle symbolizes the belly as a soft, receptive space — both physical and poetic.
